Acer cappadocicum 'Aureum' is an award winning medium sized ornamental tree with vibrant foliage. The young spring foliage is bright yellow and has orange or red margins before fading to green in the summer. In autumn the leaves change back to bright yellow before they fall.
Known as the Golden Cappadocian Maple or Cappadoci Maple tree, it has a lovely rounded crown and will grow to 5 x 4 metres in 20 years. Plant in a sheltered spot in moist but well-drained soil in full sun for the best foliage colour. Acer cappadocicum 'Aureum' is a popular choice for its vibrant lobed foliage and makes an attractive specimen tree.
