Rhododendron Germania (5 Litre Pot) 40-50cm

This is an outstanding plant with huge buds opening to deep pink flowers in a large upright truss during late May. It has an excellent habit, is tough and has large pale green rounded leaves. Tends to grow wider than it is tall. Height 140-160cm in 10 years. Its a popular hardy hybrid which is suitable for a sunny, shrub border with humus-rich, acid soil or a large container filled with ericaceous compost. Avoid planting too deeply. Apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of leaf mould around the base of the plant each spring.
