Geulder Rose is a beautiful shrub and makes a great hedging plant, typically in a mixed country hedge. Geulder Rose has something for every season, but perhaps its most attractive feature is its juicy transparent berries from September onwards which stay on the plant till after all the leaves have dropped. The berries are slightly harmful to humans but loved by birds.
Geulder Rose is good on most soils (other than very acidic) and it does like fertile soil. It performs best in sunlight but also does well in light shade. It is particularly good in moist ground and won't like a dry situation.
