To enable you to look after the growth of your hedge, we have a selection of additional products that are essential to assist the healthy development of your hedge.

 

Why might I need them?

The Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs ‘Environmental Farming Scheme (EFS)’ provides financial support to farm businesses to undertake environmentally beneficial farming practices, focusing on biodiversity water quality.

EFS wider level aims to deliver benefits across the countryside. The schemes on offer include:

  • New hedge planting
  • Tree planting by the way of riverside buffer zones
  • Nature tree corridors
  • Agroforestry
  • Traditional orchard creation


    • How many do I need?

    The recommended amount of trees is 1 tree for every 12.5metres of hedging:

    Example Order

    If you require 100m of farm mix hedging, you may require the following:

    • 500 plants (recommended 5 plants per metre)
    • 8 Trees
    • 2kgs of Mycorrhizal Fungi Rootgrow (2 x 1kg)
