Helleborus are one of the most popular winter flowering bloom and are nicknamed the 'Christmas' or 'Lenten' Rose as flowers can often be seen flourishing on Christmas Day, lifting the gloomiest of spaces. Hellebore Green Marble produces flowers in a cool shade of pale green emerging from the middle of winter onwards, lasting through most if the spring. Hellebore ‘Green Marble’ also has a spark of delicate anthers in the centre of each bloom as well as eye-catching evergreen marbled foliage for added detail and will add colour to the border or containers in late winter to early spring, making it a fantastic choice for winter gardens! It will attract early pollinators as it has large, double, dark purple flowers. The flowers appear from February to April above the deep green leaves. They make attractive ground cover plants for areas of shade under deciduous trees and shrubs. This perennial dies back to below ground level each year in autumn, then fresh new growth appears again in spring.
