Taxus × media 'Rising Star' – The No Prune Hedge | 120–140cm
A smart, formal yew hedge without the constant clipping. 'Rising Star' is a selected yew with a naturally narrow, upright, columnar habit. It holds its slim shape on its own, so you get a neat, structured hedge with little or no pruning.
The rich, dark green needles are dense and soft to the touch, and they form a tight, even surface from top to bottom. It gives you the classic, timeless look of a yew hedge in a lower-maintenance form, which is ideal for busy gardens, commercial sites and anywhere you want a tidy finish without regular trimming.
Why choose 'Rising Star'?

Planting guide
For a dense hedge, plant around 3 per metre. Allow 2 per metre for a more economical row that will knit together over time. Yew needs well-drained soil and dislikes waterlogging, so avoid wet or heavy ground. Water well through the first growing season. If needed, lightly tidy stray shoots in late summer.
