This supberb compact Mexican orange blossom has fine, almost filligree foliage, which is retained throughout the year, but from mid- to late spring, is almost smothered by the scented white flowers. It is also not unusual for a second (less prolific) flush of flowers to appear in late summer. Great in patio pots or shrub borders, it can also be used to make an interesting informal hedge or low screen.
Prune established plants in spring immediately after flowering, removing 25-30cm (10-12in) of the flowered stems. This encourages a second flush of flowers in late-summer and autumn. At the same time remove any frost-damaged stems to the base.
