Alaska Green Holly is a self fertile female clone of the native green holly. It grows into a medium-Title tree as well as making a first-class hedge plant or topiary specimen.
Alaska is the hardiest of the hollies and will grow on just about any soil, both chalky and acidic. Holly grows well in quite deep shade, near the sea, and in areas of atmospheric pollution.
A holly hedge is one of the best windbreaks there is and Alaska Holly brings the added benefit of guaranteed red berries in winter.
