The green buds of Hydrangea 'King George' bloom to reveal rounded domes of deep rosy-pink flowers. In acidic soils the flowers take on a striking mauve colour. These long-lasting blooms fade as summer wanes to give centre stage to the vibrant autumn foliage in shades of orange and gold. This deciduous shrub makes a great addition to borders and cottage gardens.
