Prunus Laurocerasus ‘Elly’ (Cherry Laurel) – Instant Hedging, 175–200cm

A dense, broad-leaved evergreen hedging variety prized for its lush, glossy dark green foliage and vigorous, bushy growth. Prunus ‘Elly’ is one of the most reliable choices for fast, year-round screening — thriving in a wide range of soils and light conditions.

Supplied at a well-established 175–200cm in 45-litre pots, container-grown for reliable, low-stress planting at any time of year.

Why choose Prunus ‘Elly’:

• Dense, bushy growth habit — excellent for a thick, opaque screen
• Large, glossy dark green leaves for strong year-round presence
• Fast-growing: typically 30–60cm of growth per year once established
• Tolerant of a wide range of soils, including chalk, clay, and shade
• Responds well to clipping, holding a neat, formal shape
• Evergreen — full privacy, 365 days a year

Planting & care:
Best planted in sun or partial shade, in well-drained soil. Water well through the first 1–2 growing seasons to establish a strong root system. Trim in late spring and again in late summer to keep growth dense and formal.
